Stand Atlantic – Summer School Tour

Me and Felicia had the chance to catch Stand Atlantic on their Summer School tour! With half a dozen incredible bands and a rotating lineup, the entire show was killer act after killer act.

After the set, we were able to catch up with the band and chat a little after picking up a signed copy of one of their records. We look forward to their next trip back!

Thornhill

Not only got to catch Thornhill in Tampa, but was also able to meet the legendary Ben! Gotta love my fellow drummers with business-sense!

Loverboy – Canceled

Went down to Tampa to celebrate Loverboy coming down to Florida, only for Florida to cancel the show with lightning! I did get to grab some merch while there and to try Sammy Hagar’s beer (the other touring act), which almost made the trip worth it! Until next time, Loverboy!

Pale Waves

Last night was a triple threat, with all three bands being female-fronted and carrying a great energy the whole show. Right between Bruses and PVRIS, Pale Waves brought the energy of a full band, with a clean, catchy sound right in the pocket that every band eventually strives for.

Groovin Alps

Frank posing with Groovin Alps after watching their show at EPCOT! How they get through the Florida heat and still put on such wonderful shows all day is beyond us!

DJ Yuka K

DJ Yuka K played a K-Pop Rave here in Downtown Orlando that was an absolute blast! Hoping to work with her in the future!

IDLES

Without a doubt, one of the best bands touring right now, and they put on an absolutely incredible show. I don’t have as much knowledge and experience with lighting, but even I could tell this was some of the best lighting design and production I’ve seen from a band, especially at House of Blues.

Black Tiger Sex Machine – Forbidden Kingdom

Nobody puts on a show like Black Tiger Sex Machine. My first introduction to live, electronic music production and all it’s capable of pre-pandemic, and still one of my absolute favorites to experience today.

Trophy Eyes

After a turbulent start to the tour, Trophy Eyes brought a safe but energetic energy to the Orlando show. Although it hit some speed bumps like a fire alarm going off and someone having to be removed from the stage (but not from the show), they took everything in stride and made it a great time. Hope to them back in FL very soon!

Normandie

Had the chance to watch Normandie during their first tour in the US. Because of their years playing in Europe, they sounds like a band that’s toured here many times.

I also had the pleasure of meeting their frontman, Philip Strand, after the show who was an absolute gent. We look forward to working with them in the future!
