Another double feature, this time with Bad Nerves opening for Nothing But Thieves at House of Blues!
I always appreciate having rowdier, heavier punk and metal bands opening for larger artists, and Bad Nerves definitely delivered that punk energy to some fans that may not have otherwise realized they liked it.
This isn’t Nothing But Thieves’ first time around and the block, and it surely won’t be their last.

Zheani put on an amazing performance and had great stage presence. The two backup dancers were also really cool to watch. I loved the unique outfits and style of makeup that the performers used, as well as the graphics during the show!

Although they weren’t on the same ticket, I was able to catch an unorthodox double-feature in Alpha Wolf and Sepultura playing the same venue in St. Pete, on back to back nights.
Alpha Wolf was first on October 1st, and it’s always a pleasure watching them tear it up. They were definitely the heaviest band on the bill, but I and many others, were definitely there for it.
Sepultura was the next night and proved why they are a staple in the genre and still tearing it up 40 years later. Some of the sound issues we experienced with the venue the previous night were absolutely gone with the experienced crew and tight ship these guys run. Absolute legends.

Catching Finger Eleven on the Summer of ’99 tour was everything we expected and more. Opening for Three Doors Down and Creed, our friends from the North, Finger Eleven, brought an energy matching their bona fide American closers.
Getting to finally connect with Sean after months of prep was also a pleasure, the guys were incredible off-stage as well.

After a little road trip up to Atlanta, catching Lamp’s three-day run with Mitski at the Fox Theatre was such a pleasure! Lamp is an incredibly groovy band, unlike any other.
Getting to finally connect with the internationally acclaimed Paul, was unforgettable as well. I hope we’ll get Lamp, and more acts like them, back home in Florida very soon!

Crawlers opening for Jane’s Addiciton before Jane’s very public breakup! I’m grateful to have caught one of the shows before the tour ended abruptly!
